Knitting our souls
Into a tapestry of
Never-fading glory,
Deem everyone worth
Revering as godly so
Everyone might know
Divinity’s indwelling.

I AM Love
Love is mighty.
A drop of it could quench deserts.
A breath of it could clear mountains.
A glimpse of it could illumine caverns.
Yet is love gentle.
I touch it and am not inflamed.
I taste it and am not sickened.
I behold it and am no longer blind.
I’m weak
When I’m afraid.
I’m small
When I’m angry.
I’m hollow
When I’m arrogant.
I AM Mighty
When I Love.
SOUL
Shining
Out from
Under my skin
Love’s light lasts.
GENDER
Given the anatomy but
Entitled to my own identity,
Never limit me to your
Doctrine’s discrepancies:
Each day I reserve the
Right to redefine indefinitely.
Dryad, to the Nereids
When I emerged
From my tree
To be with thee—
Free and wildly
Within the sea—
I did not foresee
This male body.
